Events around the topic of wine

On the first weekend of September, the village centre of Weinböhla is transformed into a place of joie de vivre and local friendliness. The region's winegrowers offer their wines, live music resounds from stages and courtyards, traders present their wares and the fairground attracts visitors with spectacular rides.

Along the Elbe cycle path there will be stalls, wineries, wine taverns and handicrafts. The whole thing is accompanied by a colourful programme of wine barrel rolling, show presses and vineyard walks. The festival starts on Friday evening with the big wine tasting of the innkeepers, winegrowers and wine lovers. There will also be plenty of culinary delights.

The Autumn and Wine Festival with International Travelling Theatre Festival takes place annually at the end of September in the historic district of Radebeul Altkötzschenbroda. The composition of wine festival and international travelling theatre is unique in the world and attracts about 50,000 visitors to Altkötzschenbroda every year. The festival is organised by the city of Radebeul.

Saxony's largest wine festival is held annually on the last weekend in September. The winegrowers serve their wines on the grounds around the market in Meißen. There is also a colourful programme with blues, rock, folk, brass band music, classical music, jazz and much more. The highlight is the winegrowers' parade on Sunday morning. A colourful fairground attracts visitors to the Elbe meadows. Admission is free.
