Sweet: Nünchritz
No fewer than eleven towns fall within the municipal boundaries of modern-day Nünchritz, several of which are likely to resonate with wine lovers. One is Seusslitz, a glittering feast of architecture, with its late-Gothic castle church, which was extended in 1725/26 by George Bähr in the baroque style. Aficionados of younger wines should head for the Federweissermeile festival in Diesbar-Seusslitz, the perfect starting point to explore the charming neighbouring villages and their vineyards, restaurants and seasonal taverns. It couldn’t be easier to access – simply take the Elbe Cycle Route or one of many hiking trails. The perfect place to discover old mills, moats, charming old churches and more!
