The species-rich Boselgarten is a branch of the Botanical Garden of the TU Dresden and enchants with the splendor of heat-loving plant species of the Elbe hill country.
The Spaargebirge, the smallest mountain range in Saxony, is known for its romantic vineyards and hiking trails. Not far from the Boselspitze, from which there is a dreamlike view into the Elbe valley, the Boselgarten has been located for over 100 years. Its diversity of plants makes it an experience for both the experienced botanist and the recreation-seeking walker. Here, visitors can marvel at around 850 plant species on an area of approximately 2,500 m², including many that have become rare in their natural habitat. About 200 of the species cultivated in the Bosel Garden are on Saxony's Red List and are endangered. In addition, the garden displays species from the areas of origin of the heat-loving Elbe Valley flora, which are located in Thuringia and/or Bohemia as well as southern and southeastern Europe.

The Botanical Garden on the Boselspitze is open on Wednesdays and on Sundays and public holidays during the summer months.
