Karl Preusker Library
Adjacent to the library building are the ruins of the former nunnery. This landmark of Großenhain was built in 1138 and is thus considered the oldest preserved building in the city.
In the Karl Preusker Library you can take a look into "Preusker's Good Room"! In the former living quarters of the library's founder, you will get a vivid impression of bourgeois life in the Biedermeier era. A highlight is the historic ceiling painting from the 17th century.
