Line M of the transport company Meißen (VGM)

The direct bus connection between Meissen, the cradle of Saxony, and the electoral hunting residence of Augustus the Strong in Moritzburg is ideal for nature lovers and also for those interested in art or history. But also for families the line M offers a lot of excursion potential.Follow in the footsteps of August the Strong in Moritzburg, go on a wine tour in Weinböhla and discover how the first European porcelain was made in Meissen. And all this comfortably with the bus line M.During the season (02.04.-31.10.2022) you can travel from Meißen via Weinböhla to Moritzburg and back 5 times a day in just 30 minutes. You will experience the Elbe valley, rural meadows with stops in Niederau and Weinböhla as well as the forest area around Moritzburg.

since 2021 new as FahrradBUS with bicycle trailers, without advance booking.

The new bicycle trailers offer space for 16 bicycles. Thanks to a ramp, somewhat heavier e-bikes can also be taken along without any problems.

The trailer is in daily use on all trips of line M between Meißen, Weinböhla and Moritzburg.

On weekends, the PlusBus line 477 also runs every hour between Dresden and Moritzburg with the bike trailer.

You can buy the ticket conveniently on the bus or at the tourist information offices in Meißen, Weinböhla, Moritzburg.

If you are traveling between Meißen - Moritzburg, you need a ticket for 2 tariff zones (TZ Meißen, TZ Radebeul). From Weinböhla - Meißen (TZ Meißen) or Weinböhla - Moritzburg (TZ Radebeul) one tariff zone is sufficient.
